Story:
Raindrops fall from the sky. For the first time after 40 years, it rains on the planet. Something has changed, but it does not seem to come from the surface. The answer lies underneath the surface: the scientific elite has managed to rebuild the extra-terrestrial energy source in monstrous size. Years before the first rainfall, they have started to send enormous energy pulses towards the planetary centre. The core started to melt again and therefore the magnetic field was rebuilt. Prior to this, the planet’s atmosphere was vanished to a degree where it got impossible for anyone to inhabit the surface. They had managed to rebuild pulse weapons. This time they did not want to harm the populace but rather induce earthquakes in order to melt to outer layers of the mantle on the planets poles. The escaping heat enabled parts of the pole ice to melt. New, shallow oceans arose, trees and other plants restarted to grow on the surface and oxygen was generated. For the first time after 60 years, an inhabitant set foot on the surface without any protective equipment or oxygen mask. A new era has begun and the first city after the realignment was constructed. There are barely any traces of the previous civilization.
